The Officers’ Spouses’ Club at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort has been celebrating the holidays by hosting the Senior Citizens’ Tea since 1968, and this year’s 56th edition of the tradition will be enjoyed by dozens of local seniors on Sunday, December 15th aboard MCAS Beaufort.
Attendees will each be escorted inside by Marines in their dress blues, and everyone will enjoy
lots of holiday cheer including, of course, tea, as well as food, desserts and holiday performances that will be quite heavy on providing lots of Christmas spirit.
Organizers with the Officer’ Spouses Club at MCAS Beaufort plan the Senior Tea event every year as a special way of thanking the local community for their long-standing support of the Beaufort, SC Military Tri-Command, and to celebrate our local senior citizens…who are considered to be our Country’s greatest generation. Many attendees are currently living in nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
