The annual Beaufort Water Festival has added another night of rock ‘n roll to this year’s festivities. Festival organizers have announced that Hardwired, a Metallica tribute band that is quite popular all across the Southeast, will be performing at the adult-only River Dance on Friday night, July 22nd.
The mostly country music-laden festival has had AC/DC, Journey, Guns & Roses and Eagles tribute bands in the past, and also brought in mega-rocker-turned-country musician Aaron Lewis (Staind) a few years back, and this year promises to be a rockin’ night because there isn’t a riff that Metallica has ever played that wasn’t meant to be loud.
According to it’s media, Hardwired aims to bring the high energy of an authentic Metallica concert; complete with a vibrant stage presence and accuracy in music and appearance to everything about Metallica while playing lots of the Metallica songs you know and love. And. we’re sure that wont be any different during the Metallica tribute at thie year’s Water Festival.
“From the accurate vocal portrayal of Hetfield from opening to last note, to the screaming leads of Kirk Hammett and actually resembling the legends respectively,” the band’s website says. “The beast rhythm section representing Ulrich and a combination of Burton, Newsted and Trujillo complete this visual and sonically accurate lineup. With custom Metallica instruments in tow, along with stage props, battle vests, and even the same custom Microphones.”
They do their best to bring the best of James, Lars, Kirk, and Robert.
And, it shows.
Playlists typically include:
For Whom the Bell Tolls
Sanitarium
Creeping Death
Nothing Else Matters
The Memory Remains
Fade to Black
The Unforgiven
….and many more.
A Metallica tribute at the Water Festival on a Friday night. This should be fun, and loud.
And, fun.
