Nothing beats a celebration in downtown Beaufort, SC and now it’s been announced that fireworks are returning to the downtown Beaufort waterfront on New Year’s Eve once again thanks to the Beaufort Area Hospitality Association and the City of Beaufort.

In an announcement on Tuesday night, BAHA said that they had got the go-ahead to hold the event on Tuesday evening.

“We just received approval to hold New Year’s Eve fireworks on the Beaufort River in Downtown,” the association said in a Facebook post.

It’s been a good few years since the city held a fireworks display to ring in the new year. Fireworks in downtown are a special event. Each summer, the Beaufort Water Festival opens up its 10 day summer celebration with a fireworks display in downtown, and Port Royal always hosts them on Battery Creek for the 4th of July, but it seems like it’s been several years since the Woods Memorial Bridge was lit up from the sky to celebrate the new year.

Make sure to make your plans to ring in the arrival of 2024 in Beaufort. The best spot to see the fireworks celebration is at downtown’s Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park. They can also be enjoyed from other parts of the downtown area, from Lady’s Island, and from the northern end of Ribaut Road.

More information about the event will be released shortly. Also, sponsorships for the New Year’s Eve celebration are available, and you can find more info about that by emailing info@bfthospitality.com
