After a technical malfunction caused an early end to the 4th of July fireworks show on Port Royal, in which attendees waited about an hour past the scheduled start time, the Town of Port Royal promised that they would reschedule the event for sometime in the fall.

The day after the July 4th fireworks show at The Sands, Port Royal Mayor Joe DeVito apologized and said the suppliers agreed to return to do the show all over again. (see video below)

Well, the Town announced that the rescheduled date is coming on Friday, September 3rd a 815pm, as a kickoff to the Labor Day Holiday Weekend.

We’re excited for an ‘off-schedule’ fireworks display over at The Sands. We love Port Royal Fireworks.

In addition to this event, Port Royal is hopping again. Port Royal’s annual OktoPRfest celebration is scheduled for September 25th and includes local chefs, restaurants and food trucks with German-inspired dishes, lots of beer, live music, a classic car show, arts and crafts vendors and a family-fun zone for kids.

If that’s not enough, Street Music on Paris Avenue is back, too. See it this weekend as Katie Henry visits Paris Avenue all the way from New York to give is all a free evning of the blues.
