The annual Beaufort Water Festival has added another night of rock ‘n roll to this year’s festivities. Festival organizers have announced that Queen Flash, a popular Queen tribute band will be performing at the adult-only River Dance on Friday night, July 19th.
The mostly country music-laden festival has had AC/DC, Journey, Guns & Roses, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, and Eagles tribute bands in the past, and also brought in mega-rocker-turned-country musician Aaron Lewis (Staind) a few years back, and this year’s Water Festival Queen tribute promises to be a rockin’ night because there isn’t a note that Queen has ever played that wasn’t meant to be performed live on a stage.
According to it’s media, Queen Flash, a Queen tribute band from Canada, is fronted by Freddie Mercury “look-a-like, sound-a-like, Johnny Zatylny, and has been captivating audiences by carrying on the musical tradition of Freddie Mercury since 2000. His amazing likeness with the original, matches his perfect performance of Queen songs both through his voice and his unmistakable stage presence.”
“This fabulous 6-piece Queen tribute is an exciting, high energy show that will get people out of their seats. “Queen Flash” is a grand, theatrical representation of the real Queen concerts, complete with vocal quality unmatched by any other tribute out there. It captures the essence of a band that transformed the music industry and set lofty standards for those who followed. Queen Flash will set the stage for a flash back to one of the world’s finest group of rock musicians!”
