If you like to go camping here on the sea islands of the South Carolina coast, or in the mountains, the SC State Parks Department has got you covered with the new addition of glamping tents at two of our beautiful state park locations.

Literally. They’ve got you covered.

Five new Tentrr, hike-in canvas tent sites are now available at Edisto Beach State Park and are located near the Environmental Learning Center.

Also, six new Tentrr, hike-in canvas tent sites are available at Table Rock State Park in Pickens, SC.

At Edisto, the sites, which are canvas tents on a raised platform, have no water or electricity and no sheets, blankets, or pillows are provided (bring your own).

Included are a double bed with a memory foam mattress, Adirondack chairs, a camp table, a fire pit, a water carrier, a fire extinguisher, and a trash can.

All sites have cell and wireless coverage, and restrooms and showers are located near the tent sites.

There is no word as to whether SC State Parks new glamping sites will eventually be offered to campers at Hunting Island State Park, but we certainly hope they will be.

The sites must be reserved and are called “Glamping Sites” on the park’s website. Rates are $125/night.
