Yes, you read that correctly, snow is coming to Beaufort on Saturday morning.
Snow is scheduled in the forecast for Beaufort on Saturday morning.
Don’t believe what you’re reading?
Not to worry because it’s not real snow, but the man-made variety, as the annual Festival of Trees concludes its 32nd year on Saturday with a fun ‘Snow Day’ for kids to enjoy over in Port Royal.
Starting at 10am, thousands of pounds of snow will be dumped onto the ground at Live Oaks Park by event host, Friends of Caroline Hospice. Kids can enjoy snowball fights, making snow angels and some good ol’ fun rolling around in something we don’t get to see here very often in the Lowcountry.
The event is from 10am to 1pm, and tickets are pretty cheap, with free admission for kids 4 and under and tickets for kids 5 & up only going for $3 each.
It’s a small price to pay for some fun in the snow, and to support one of Beaufort’s most worthy community organizations.
(Is our headline click-bait? It is, but at least it’s click-bait for a fantastic cause.)
