Skip the headache and traffic issues of going to Savannah for St. Patrick’s Day this year. The St. Patrick’s Day Festival is returning to Beaufort Town Center on Saturday, March 14th, from 12pm-4pm.

Just like the past two years, the festival has a ton of exciting activities in store for guests focused around free family fun. The event is free and open to the public and guests will enjoy a variety of fun activities for kids and some exciting surprise giveaways.

New to the festival this year will be an adult and kids costume contest. Winners will be chosen based on crowd applause and 1 adult (age 14+) and 1 child (age 13 and under) will win a great Pot O’ Gold Prize Pack.

Area restaurants and food trucks will again be selling food and drinks and there will be live entertainment including live music, local musicians and dancers.

“There’s a lot happening in Beaufort Town Center this year,” said Jennifer Sanborn of 303 Associates.

“By March of this year, Beaufort Town Center will have several new businesses occupying the redeveloped reuse space, more commonly known as the former K-Mart Space. In addition to this Festival being a great community event for all ages, this gives the opportunity for all Beaufort Town Center businesses to interact with the community and share their information. The Festival continues to grow year after year, and this will be our best yet,” she added.

With the departure of K-Mart from Beaufort Town Center, and new businesses planning on opening this spring, the opportunity for large scale community events in the Center is now possible, and the public will continue to see the Center transform over the next several months with new businesses, landscape, and activity.

The event benefits Beaufort County Animal Services, which will be on site and taking donations.

The Festival is accepting vendor applications online until March 1st.
