Turkey Trot 5K race returns to downtown on Thanksgiving

On Thanksgiving morning, put that turkey in the oven and get on out to join LowCountry Habitat for Humanity for its annual Turkey Trot; a fun 5K race in Downtown Beaufort.

Starting at 8am on Thursday November 25th on Bay & Newcastle Streets, enjoy a scenic run through historic downtown Beaufort and across the iconic Woods Memorial Bridge following along the certified 5K course.

Packet pickup will be available at Grounded Running in Beaufort Town Center,
with dates and times still to be determined.

For those not wanting to get out and run with the other entrants, you can register as a Virtual Participant.

Age categories for the Turkey Trot 5K are under 12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ with prizes awarded to overall top three male and female and top two male and female in age divisions. Awards are available for in-person participants only.

The Turkey Trot 5K is pet and stroller friendly, too. Flexi-type leashes will not be allowed at the event and organizers ask that you please have pets on a standard 4-6ft lead.

Course: Start/finish line at Freedom Mall, running along Bay Street, across the Woods Memorial Bridge to Lady’s Island, right turn onto Meridian Rd, to Youmans Drive and then it doubles back along the same route ending where it all started, at Freedom Mall.
