It’s time for daffodils in Beaufort. The Merrick U Pick Daffodil farm in Okatie officially opened its 2025 picking season on Saturday, February 15th.

With rows and rows of vibrant yellow blooms, visiting the farm to pick the beautiful yellow flowers is a winter pastime for lots of locals, most with little ones in tow.

“The weather has our daffodils confused,” the farm said in a Facebook post when announcing its opening day.

This early in the season, the farm has on again/off again hours and plans to be open again next week, so you may want to check ahead of your drive.

Weather permitting, the fields will be open on weekends and on various days during the week, depending on availability, usually until mid-March.

According to their website, they plan to be open until early March this year, at the very least.

The family has expanded the parking availability at the farm over the past few seasons and has also started planting twice the amount of daffodils than it has in the past.

There are limited number of daffodil blooms this early in the new season and the farm might close early in the day if they run out. Warmer weather returning to the Lowcountry on a more consistent basis means more blooms and more days with longer hours for the farm.

Each brilliant-yellow-sign-of-spring that you pick will cost you only 50 cents, or you can choose picked daffodils if you would prefer them.

Follow them on Facebook and visit the website to stay up to date on open hours and availability.
