Discovery Night at the Museum: Create an Indigo Scarf!

Step back in time and get creative at our next Discovery Night at the Museum! 🌿🕰️

Join us on October 15th to hear the fascinating story of Eliza Lucas Pinckney, brought to life by author and living history presenter Margaret (Peggy) Pickett. At just 17 years old in 1739, Eliza’s experiments with indigo sparked a thriving industry right here in South Carolina!

You’ll learn all about the history and process of making indigo dye, and the best part? You get to create your very own indigo tie-dye piece to take home! 💙

👕 What’s included: The museum provides one scarf per person.
✨ Bonus: Feel free to bring one extra small cotton item from home to dye, like a tea towel, apron, or shirt!
