After extensive renovations to the building, Los Gallos Mexican Restaurant opened it’s doors a few days ago in the former Applebee’s spot at 2338 Boundary Street in Beaufort.
The new restaurant offers traditional Mexican fare, has a full bar and also offers a variety of seafood plates. Los Gallos is open 7 days a week and offers a very large lunch buffet during the weekdays and an equally generous dinner buffet on the weekends.
Yep. Mexican buffet restaurant.

The Beaufort Applebee’s closed in 2017 during the Boundary Street construction project citing a loss of revenue after opening way back in 1994.
Los Gallos joins a large group of other Mexican restaurants already operating in Beaufort, extending the number of options well into double digits.
We have Dos Amigos in Beaufort Town Center, with yet another authentic Mexican eatery scheduled to open in the Center as well. Beaufort has two La Nopalera locations, a Rancho Grande and there are also Agave Mexican Grill and Taco Burger in Port Royal. We have Berto’s Tex Mex in Habersham, Mi Pueblo Mexican Restaurant in Shell Point and a few smaller spots both in Burton and on St. Helena Island.
