Have you ever wondered just how much chocolate you can eat? That’s a good question. You’ll get to find out in Beaufort on August 30th. That’s the day of the 35th annual All You Can Eat Night at the Chocolate Tree here in downtown Beaufort.

It’s not something that they do just for fun. There’s actually a story behind it.

Back in the 1980′s, the owner of The Chocolate Tree was faced with the August Lowcountry heat and found out a way to get rid of a good bit of the chocolates at the store so they wouldn’t melt.

Then it became history. Now, in its 35th year, all you can eat night at The Chocolate Tree is now a Beaufort tradition and it’s always a packed house full of chocolate-lovers.

After taking weeks to prepare for the annual night to insure there is enough for everyone, the store offers two different sessions; one from 6:30-8:15pm, and another from 8:30-10:15pm.

Beverages, including milk, are available at the event and attendees are also welcome to bring there own drinks including their favorite bottle of wine.

If you’re the proud owner of a sweet tooth, you definitely don’t want to miss out on this party.

Tickets are now available at The Chocolate Tree at 507 Carteret Street in downtown Beaufort. The cost is $20 plus tax for almost 2 hours of chocolate bliss and $25 at the door on the evening of the event.

You can always keep up with all the event info on Facebook.
