South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster announced this morning that all S.C. schools will remain closed for the remainder of the academic school year.

The governor said he plans to give the order sometime next week.

The free lunch programs will continue through the remainder of the year and through the summer, as will summer reading camps and programs for challenged students. The lunch program has delivered over 5 million meals this year so far.

The public school system will also continue to supply free internet to rural areas as well by parking school buses as WiFi hotspots.

He also said that they’re going to try to find a way for this year’s seniors to have some type of graduations commencement ceremonies

During his press conference, McMaster lauded and thanked parents across the state for being able to home school their children.
