A new restaurant is set to open on Boundary Street in Uptown later this week, and from the early peeks of what we’ve seen on their website and social media, it appears we can expect some seriously tasty, ‘above-average’ dining.
Blacksheep on Boundary plans to open its doors for dinner on Thursday, May 21st, in the spot formerly known as Crosta Pizzeria on the corner of Boundary and Harrington Streets.
Upon perusing the menu, we find maybe ten items, or less, and the restaurant’s website says they will try and change it weekly.
As far as southern coastal dining goes, we found lots of fresh ingredients on a menu that features a caramel pork with South Carolina rice, a cornmeal dusted flounder, a marinated octopus and chicken livers, too.
And, it all looks really good.
“The menu won’t be the same next week,” Blacksheep on Boundary’s website says. “There may be a few things that are recognizable from week to week but don’t count on them being there.”
“If you like it, eat it a few times. If you really like it, ask me how I made it and I’ll probably write it down for you.”

Location
In describing the restaurant, tucked into a smaller 900 square foot spot with 28 seats, its menu definitely seems to be full of quality southern coastal offerings that don’t quite approach fine dining for some, but would no doubt fit that bill for others.
Uptown Beaufort is typically considered to be the stretch of Boundary Street from Bellamy Curve up to City Hall, in case you were wondering.
Reservations will be required early on due to seating limitations required by COVID-19 restrictions.
Blacksheep on Boundary also has wine, beer and champagne options available. According to the website, there is a ” tidy beer list of things that are delicious, interesting, and drink well with food.”
