In October, witches will be invading the Lowcountry again providing a day full of spooky fun. The Gas Lantern Apothecary & Mystical is hosting its 3rd Annual Haunted Hallows Festival, a Halloween celebration for the Lowcountry, on Saturday, October 24th, from 3pm to 9pm at the Naval Heritage Park in Port Royal.

The free, fun-filled, costume-encouraged, family oriented event will feature live entertainment, the popular annual Witches Dance, a vendor market, food trucks and food booths, an aerialist, kidโ€™s games and a whole lot more, bringing six hours of free-admission Halloween adventure to the Lowcountry.

Guests will enter a park transformed by imaginative characters, interactive destinations, music and spooky surprises beneath Port Royalโ€™s moss-draped live oaks. This yearโ€™s entertainment includes thrilling performances by a fire twirler and aerialists, along with an expanded lineup of activities for children, teenagers and adults.
The festivalโ€™s popular Passport Adventure will be larger and more inclusive than ever, featuring an eclectic cast of characters and themed destinations throughout the park. Festival-goers of all ages can explore, interact and collect passport stamps as they journey through the Haunted Hallows world.Annual Haunted Hallows Festival returns to Port Royal in October
Older children will have a place created especially for them in the Teen Arena, featuring games, challenges, prizes and hands-on activities. Lockheed Martin will also be attending with engaging STEM fun, giving teens an opportunity to experiment, learn and discover while enjoying the festival.
Guests can visit the Witch Broom-Making Tent to create a witch broom completely free of charge. Once properly equipped, willing witches can join the festivalโ€™s community Witches Danceโ€”because at Haunted Hallows, visitors do not have to stand on the sidelines and merely watch the magic. They are invited to become part of it.
โ€œHaunted Hallows has always been about giving people a place to step inside the story,โ€ said festival organizer Shelia. โ€œThis year, weโ€™re opening that story even wider, with something for young children, teenagers, adults, longtime Halloween lovers and anyone who wants to grab a broom and dance.โ€
Music will keep the festival moving from afternoon into the lantern-lit evening. Guests can also enjoy:
– An expanded Passport Adventure for children, teens and adults
– Fire-twirling and aerial performances
– The Teen Arena and Lockheed Martin STEM activities
– Completely free witch-broom making
– A community Witches Dance open to festivalgoers
– Free childrenโ€™s games and family activities
– Food trucks and festival treats

Admission to Haunted Hallows Festival is completely free. Food, beverages and vendor merchandise will be available for purchase. A portion of festival proceeds will benefit the Old Village Association of Port Royal, a local nonprofit organization.
