The Beaufort County School District, in partnership with The Nutrition Group, St. Gregory the Great and Second Helpings, will soon begin a summer food program for families.
“Beaufort County School District and The Nutrition Group are offering free weekly grab-and-go breakfast and lunch meal kits during the summer months,” the school district said.
The school district said children ages 18 and under can participate, as well as those over age 18 who are determined by the applicable state agency to be mentally or physically disabled and who participate during the school year in a public or private non-profit program for mentally or physically disabled persons. The district said volunteers were also needed for the program.
To be eligible to participate, parent(s)/guardian(s) need to reserve ticketsfor each child each week by locating the online form and filling it out. After reserving a ticket, the parent(s)/guardian)s) will receive a QR code via email to present at meal pickup. The Parent/Guardian must show ID with the QR Code received at registration.

*The June 19th and July 3rd pickups will be moved to the Wednesday prior from noon to 2 p.m.
