Beaufort Station has been quite an addition to the Beaufort community since its first stores opened up back in 2024. On the heels of January’s announcement from its management company, Puccinelli Management, that Bath & Body Works will also be setting up shop in the next few months, they have also just announced that Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers will be joining Beaufort Station in 2026.
Freddy’s will join an impressive list of retail and restaurant tenants at the new Beaufort Station, a 209,250 square foot shopping center on the corner of Robert Smalls Parkway and Parris Island Gateway.
The location will only be the 4th spot in South Carolina for Freddy’s. They also have two locations in Summerville and one in Conway, SC.
Among many items, the extensive Freddy’s menu offers frozen custard and root beer floats, prime rib steakburgers, patty melts, a steakburger taco, hot honey chicken sandwiches, chili dogs, fish sandwiches, and veggie burgers. We also found tots, fries, onion rings, kettle chips, and cheese curds on the menu as well.
Headquartered in Wichita, Kansas, Freddy’s currently operates over 550 franchise locations across the country. Most of Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers’ locations are concentrated in the Central and Western United States, with the highest density in Texas, followed by Kansas and Colorado. As of recent count, Texas hosts 79 locations, followed by Kansas and Colorado.
You can also find them in Georgia, with 21 locations, and in Ohio (19) and Tennessee (19).
While most of their locations being in the Midwest and Mid-South, they are a fast-growing national chain with locations expanding into various regions.
According to it’s website, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers was co-founded in 2002 by brothers Bill and Randy Simon with a friend and business partner. It was named in honor of Bill and Randy’s father, a World War II veteran who worked in the hospitality industry for 56 years in Kansas after returning from the war.
Freddy’s is also ranked in the Top 10 fastest growing chain restaurants in the U.S.
That growth is now bringing Freddy’s Steakburgers to Beaufort, SC.
