The weather matched the mood this weekend as Holiday Farms kicked off its fall season over in Ridgeland.
If you’ve never been there, it’s about the most fun a kid could have during the fall here in the Lowcountry. Every October, the farm uses every inch of its expansive property to pack in as much fun as possible.
In addition to picking pumpkins in the pumpkin field at Holiday Farms, you and the kids will spend time enjoying tons of fun fall activities including a variety of free games, a zillion seasonal photo opportunities, tractor-pulled wagon and train tides, pig races, water-propelled duck races, live horses, live music and some fantastic food. You can even learn to lasso a steer after the kids have worked off the extra energy bouncing on the 70’x30′ jump pad.
They also have live music on Saturdays and Sundays and there’s a general store on site full of local goodies.
Special thanks to the Cramer family for inviting us out to the farm for an opening day of fun.
Hours of operation from October 2nd through October 31st are Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 9-6 and Sundays 12-6. Holiday Farms is located at 10884 Grays Highway, Ridgeland. Visit here for map and directions if you’re not as familiar with the area.
There’s plenty of parking, and don’t fret….the long lines you see will move rather fast.
