Metallica is ready to rock drive-in theaters nationwide, including at the Highway 21 Drive In right here in Beaufort.
Encore Drive-In Nights featuring METALLICA will air at drive-in theaters across the United States and Canada on Saturday, August 29th.
Similar to the Blake Shelton and Garth Brooks drive-in concerts earlier this summer, the Encore Live concert wonโt technically be a live performance, but one filmed exclusively for drive-in theaters.
Metallica also posted a clip on their Instagram of the band rehearsing their concert favorite, โCreeping Death,โ for the upcoming show. The musicians seemed to maintain social distance from one another in the clip and each wore masks, other than James Hetfield who had to sing.
Filmed live near the bandโs home of Northern California for the one-night-only event, the bandโs first show of 2020 will go down as one of the most unique and memorable METALLICA experiences of all time.
With the band playing a full set for the concert, it will provide fans with an intimate, up-close drive-in concert experience, featuring material spanning the bandโs nearly four decade career.
Each ticket purchase will also include four digital downloads of METALLICAโs S&M2, the long-awaited album documenting the two historic concerts that reunited the band and San Francisco Symphony for the first time in 20 years.
Encore Drive-In Nights featuring METALLICA will also include a special guest performance by Three Days Grace, filmed exclusively for this event.
Tickets are sold per car only, with a maximum of 6 people per vehicle. Tickets can be purchased here starting on August 14th.
Gates will be open for the August 29th METALLICA Drive In concert at the Highway 21 Drive In at 6pm.
The popular old fashioned concession stand at the Highway 21drive in will also be be open during the concert for all of your food, beverage, popcorn, candy, ice cream and funnel cake needs.
The exclusive concert will adhere to guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as all state public health mandates.
